Anti-Imperialist
We oppose the exploitation of nations and peoples by monopolist powers. REAL advocates for a new rules-based order built on economic partnerships, peace, and common prosperity.
As people living in the USA, we have never known a day of peace, regardless of our age. Our perpetual state of war is a byproduct of the capitalist political arrangement. In pursuit of profits abroad, monopolists plunder resources and impose themselves on the markets of countries around the world. This coercive economic relationship is known as imperialism, which has subjected the global majority to abject poverty for centuries. Since the end of the World Wars, our own government has positioned itself as the predominant imperialist force, making it our special responsibility to highlight its misdeeds on the world stage. REAL advocates for a new rules-based order where the US does not make all its own rules, instead participating in economic win-win partnerships, engaging in trade, and playing a progressive role in maintaining peace and development for all of humanity. We also aim to build community businesses so that ordinary working families have the opportunity to develop their own wealth. We want common prosperity, not wealth disparity.

Capitalism has fulfilled its historic role and outlived its welcome. REAL advocates for a socialist reorganization that places the interests of working people above those of monopolists.
REAL understands that the capitalist arrangement has fulfilled its historic role and has outlived its welcome. In capitalism, success is measured solely by profitability, resulting in wealth accumulation in the hands of a few ultra-rich individuals. Through their financial influence, they have cemented political power, ensuring that laws consolidate and maintain their dominance. REAL advocates for a socialist reorganization of this system, placing the interests of ordinary working people above those of monopolists. We seek to break up their vast wealth for the benefit of common folk to modernize infrastructure, healthcare, and education. We also aim to build community businesses so that ordinary working families have the opportunity to develop their own wealth. We want common prosperity, not wealth disparity.

White supremacy is an ideological outgrowth of capitalism and a cornerstone of imperialism. REAL denounces white supremacy in all its forms and works toward a world free of race-based exploitation.
White supremacy is an ideological outgrowth of capitalism and a cornerstone of imperialism. REAL denounces white supremacy in all its forms and hegemonic influence. We strive to unlearn white supremacist beliefs that affect us, regardless of race and ethnicity, and work toward building a world free of race-based exploitation and violence. We understand that the material basis for white supremacy is the Anglo-Saxon economic order embodied by NATO.

Male domination and internalized sexism are sources of violence and division. REAL believes everyone should be free to pursue a fruitful life without the threat of male chauvinism.
Male domination and internalized sexism have consistently been sources of violence against women and gender non-conforming individuals. REAL understands patriarchy as an antiquated social institution rooted in primitive modes of production. Ideas of male superiority create a toxic organizing environment and hinder the development of latent potential in all human beings. REAL believes that everyone, regardless of gender, should be free to pursue a fruitful and happy life without the threat of male chauvinism.
